Hathorn Enterprises is an award-winning media company dedicated to enhancing literacy among young people in creative ways. Libby Hathorn, its Director and a seasoned author of picture storybooks and novels, is interested in the potential for story and poetry as the basis for e-learning m-learning.

DOCUMENTARY

Hathorn Enterprises has produced the documentary 100 Views Kathmandu (see www.100views.com.au ). This is part of our company's not-for-profit community project, currently in several Australian schools, with an international outreach. The documentary gives insight into the 100 Views program and the work of the Mitrataa Foundation, which helps educate girls and women in Nepal (see www.mitrataa.org).

Weirdstop was judged Winner of the AIMIA Awards in 2004 for Best Childrens Product or Service, 2003. Weirdstop was honoured by the judges for its innovation, visual impact, technical expertise and accessibility.

Weirdstop (ghostly stories for ages 10-14) and Coolstop (linking sport and literacy for ages 12-15) have been developed with incentives such as games, puzzles, quizzes and certificates to be achieved along the way. The interactive stories are suitable for classroom use, home-schooling and distance learning, with self-paced learning modules for each story.

Wonderstop, the third in this series, is designed for children ages 8-12, celebrates the diversity of our natural and human environments. It is a journey of two little wombats, Bodge and Widge, and a journey of discovery for younger readers, packed with engaging stories, games and activities along the way. Wonderstop won the Energy Australia, National Trust Heritage Award Education in 2007.
