Welcome to The Wishing Cupboard.

This story The Wishing Cupboard allows me to enjoy Vietnam, one of my closest neighbours in ASIA. The Wishing Cupboard is part of my ASIASTORY.

WILL SHE COME HOME?

This is the story of Tan, and his grandmother, who opens The Wishing Cupboard for him one rainy day. You see, Tan is longing for his Mum to come home from her trip to Vietnam. And Tan's grandmother knows The Wishing Cupboard will keep Tan from thoughts of his mother who's been away too long! Tan wonders will she ever come home?

MAGICAL

The Wishing Cupboard is a very magical space for Tan.  And it is magical for you, too. Inside it you can feast on Tan's story and more! Tan's grandmother remembers some wonderful folk tales from Vietnam. She also tells him snippets about the culture of her country.

SOLVE THE PUZZLE

You will be with Tan and his grandmother as they open The Wishing Cupboard's many drawers and discover objects, stories and pictures. Oh! and you will be solving a puzzle as you go by collecting some fantastic animals hidden in the drawers. When you have all the animals you can do the puzzle that completes Tan's story. And you can find out if Tan's Mum does come home.

All in all you will be discovering several Vietnamese folk stories threaded through the main story, The Wishing Cupboard. But remember, you won't be able to open the mystery drawer until you have collected all the secret animal objects for the puzzle. And you won't know if Tan's  Mum comes home with his cousin Lan, until you solve the puzzle.
